Grafton is 2 months old today! He had his 2 month check-up and got a great report! He is quite a chunky monkey these days weighing in at 11 lbs. 14 oz. which puts him at the 50th percentile for weight. He is 22 inches long now and at the 20th percentile for height. Grafton got his first shots and of course cried, but not for too long. He got some great Snoopy band-aids for enduring the pain!
Poor little guy has reflux so we've been doing some trouble-shooting to make things better for him. After trying just about every formula they make, we are on soy for the 2nd time and feel like it's the best one for him. He's also getting some rice cereal in his bottles, which is why he's such a chunky monkey! Hey, we'll do anything for a less fussy baby that sleeps. He is also on Zantac 2x per day. So, with all of those things combined, he is doing much better these days. Most nights he only gets up 1 time, which is fabulous compared to what we were doing!
He is so much more interactive these days. It's been a lot of fun! He is cooing and babbling, laughing and smiling. He talks to his monkey picture above his crib in the mornings and the rocking horse picture above his changing table. It's really cute.
Grafton will start daycare next Thursday and I will start work the following Monday. That will give us a few days for a trial run and also a chance for me to run some errands and get some things done before I go back to work. It will definitely be bitter sweet though. I have to give props to all stay-at-home moms! It's a tough job and I just cannot do it full-time. Grafton is going to a great daycare so we know he'll be in good hands. It's really close to our house so that will be convenient as well. I'll report back to let ya'll know how the transition goes!
