We had a very busy holiday season, so thus why I am just now getting around to posting this. I have tons of pictures, but these are the highlights I suppose! A week before Christmas, we had our annual Morgan family Christmas with Gray's father's family, which seems to grow exponentially each year. There were 57 of us this year and will be 61 next year as Gray's sister, Jennifer, and his cousin Perry are both having TWINS this summer! It's really wild!! So, needless to say, next year Christmas will be quite different on the Morgan side of the family. Two days before Christmas my dad and Ruth came to visit us. We celebrated Christmas with them and they headed to Augusta. My mom and Tom came Christmas Eve afternoon and we all went to church at 4pm. Afterwards, we all went to Gray's parents' house for a delicious meal in a beautifully decorated house, as always. Grafton slept till after 8:30am Christmas morning! I think he was worn out from all the excitement and all of the entertainment he provided us the night before. He's a wild man sometimes! We opened presents and had a nice breakfast before my mom and Tom headed back to GA. Christmas afternoon we went back to Gray's parents' house, opened gifts while Grafton was napping, and then Grafton got to have his very own private gift-opening session when he awoke. It began to snow that afternoon which was so pretty and very special since it is so rare for us to have snow, let alone on Christmas day! That night we had another wonderful meal. The next day Gray took Grafton to the Greenville Country Club right down the street from us where lots of kids were playing and sledding. Grafton just made a quick visit since it was pretty chilly and he's still a little young to really play around in it.
Grafton is growing and learning new things everyday. His vocabulary is growing pretty quickly these days. We have learned we have to be very careful about what we say around him or we may hear it again! My mom's reaction to Jennifer having twins was "Oh God!" To this day, Grafton still says "Oh God!" and usually in context. It's hilarious although we are trying to teach him "Oh gosh!" instead. Last week he came home from daycare saying "bad baby!" while shaking his arm and pointing his finger. He learned that at daycare and they never really told us if it was because it was said to him or another baby. Haha! I'm thinking it was him! It's really funny though and all the teachers gather around to watch him do it at daycare. Hey, this boy loves an audience! Grafton is walking really well and is sometimes running now. He's a lot of fun these days! Mealtimes can be a little frustrating because he is an extremely picky eater!! He'll eat crackers, goldfish, cookies, some breads, macaroni and cheese, meat sticks, and chicken fingers. That's about it. If it's healthy, he won't touch it. Gray and I were both picky eaters so we've accepted it's payback time. I'm not sure we were this picky this young though. Despite his being a picky eater, Grafton is 26 lbs. We had to take him to the Dr. the other day for a cold that had lasted about 3 weeks and seemed to get much worse. It is the first time he's been on antibiotics since his tubes though. The tubes have worked wonders! Anyway, we look forward to another wonderful year with our sweet boy who is growing up too fast! He is truly a blessing and bring us so much joy!
