We went for our first doctor's appointment on December 16, 2008. At that point, I was to be 8 weeks pregnant. We counted down the days till this appointment as we were so anxious to see the first glimpse of our baby. I had a great appointment! They were able to detect the baby's heartbeat, which was good and within normal range, and we got to see our little one for the first time. He/she did not look like a baby, but nonetheless it was SO exciting to hear his/her heartbeat and to see him/her. They changed my due date from July 27th to August 3rd based on that ultrasound and said they would not be changing it again...no matter what. They just don't change due dates after that. We were so thankful to be off to a good start!
